The original never had controller support. The PS1 controls were never added to PC, simply because at the time, the technology didn't exist in commonality, to use a coontroller with the PC, and though PC controllers existed, by the time Diablo 1 for the PS1 was launched, Diablo 2 was likely under production, and using Controllers on the PC was nothing short of a rarity outside of racing games which, are doable on Keyboard, they still suck on one.
